PUNTA CANA WEDDING DURING A COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Jellyfish is located at the most beautiful beach of the area in the heart of the Bavaro village. It is a stunning place.
Nuno and Kenya
A friendly couple from New York City, USA has decided to celebrate their wedding day in the Dominican Republic. Their story started a long time ago when Nuno met Kenya on friends party.
After some weeks being on email we decided to have a video call to discuss all the wedding topics, schedule, special ideas for photo and video. Kenya made a mood board of the photos from my portfolio and she was very excited about the idea of throwing petals for the video as she saw it in my videoclips. Newlyweds hey have chosen the Jellyfish Beach Restaurant in the heart of Punta Cana as a venue. It’s one of my favorite locations for the wedding because of the great view, privacy and the level of service.
Everything seemed to be perfectly planned, but… nobody really expected that COVID-19 would ruin everything. Kenya, Nuno and their 1,5 years old son decided to have their wedding despite all the obstacles and didn’t give up. Even though all the restrictions allowed everybody to enter the DR, almost half of the guests decided to refuse to come. Couple was very nervous but they kept saying: “We WILL HAVE our wedding, our wedding IS GOING to happen”.
They had to cancel many services, but their love was the number one priority. At the end, their wedding went absolutely perfect! Breathtaking seaview, tropical decor, the closest friends and family members, beautiful newlyweds…I will never forget how hard it was for them to overcome obstacles!
I hope you enjoy the Punta Cana wedding.
